Stanly Cabinet Company and Uwharrie Marketing Association will co-host a Back To School Bash Saturday at City Lake Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will feature games, hot dogs and hamburgers, bounce houses, raffles, a cornhole tournament and numerous vendors, according to Carmen Randall, owner of Uwharrie Marketing.

Kinetic by Windstream, sponsor of the event, will present a $5,000 check for their sponsorship, Randall said, which will go to the Homes of Hope organization. All the other proceeds from the event will also go to Homes of Hope.

While at the event, students have the chance to nominate their favorite teachers for a chance to win a $1,000 “tech-out” from Kinetic.

There will be an hourly raffle and each winner will receive a backpack from Kinetic filled with supplies donated from local businesses.
