Town Business
Monthly limb and brush pickup is Sept. 7. Please place debris curbside before 8 a.m.
Town Council will hold the regular meeting Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Badin Conference Center. Visitors are welcome.
Palestine UMC
Sunday school meets at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, followed by in-person worship at 11 a.m., 36414 Palestine Road, Albemarle. Masks are recommended.
Palestine Women’s meeting is Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Palestine Pals will meet Sept. 14 at the Rosebriar, 528 Wiscassett St., at 11:30 a.m.
Love Thy Neighbor meal and fellowship is Sept. 18 at Matthew’s Place at noon.
Badin Presbyterian
Pastor Dan Wray invites the community to worship together on Sunday at 10 a.m., 169 Spruce St. Masks are recommended.
Badin Baptist
The church is open for Sunday worship at 11 a.m. Wednesday prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. followed by Bible study at 7 p.m. The church is on Falls Road.
Badin UMC
Summer hot dog sales have ended. Pastor Beau Linker says thank you to all volunteers and supporters. Everyone is invited to Sunday worship services at 11 a.m., 18 Hickory St.
Morrow Mountain
Calling all Girls Scouts for a ranger-led hike of the easy Quarry Trail on Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon. Enjoy walking along a quiet stream, past the old Civilian Conservation Corps quarry.
Please meet at the Lower Parking Lot.
Tours of the Kron House are available Sept. 11 from 2-3 p.m. The restored home site of Dr. Francis Kron and his family gives a glimpse into piedmont life in the 1800s.
Please note the Boathouse will open only on weekends after Labor Day.
Better Badin
The monthly meeting is Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Loafers and Legends on Falls Road.
This volunteer group meets for the purpose of enhancing life in and around the town.
The Welcome Committee, led by Sue Dalton, wants to extend a welcome visit to all Badin newcomers.

Sept. 18 is the next date for Movies on the Green. The movie selection is still under consideration and will be announced as soon as possible.
