Movie Night

The city will host movie night at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 with a viewing of “Scoob!”

The backyard will open at 6:30 p.m.; the movie will begin at sunset. This is a free family event. Bring your family and a chair or blanket.

Festival

Contact either Pastor Tommy at First Baptist Church of Locust or Emily Jones at Locust Parks and Recreation to be a vendor at this year’s Locust Fall Festival.

They will send an application packet that explains all guidelines as well as the procedures.

The festival will be Oct 31.

Farmers Market

Remember to check out the vendors at Locust Farmers Market this summer. The market is open every Thursday through the end of summer.

Join on the corner of Main Street and Vella Drive for locally grown produce and handmade crafts.

The market will open at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

WSSC

The West Stanly Senior Center has a wide variety of activities every day. They have fitness programs, crafts, book club, pool, card and board games. Call the center for a full list of activities.
