Town Council

Town Council’s regular meeting is tonight at 7 in the Badin Conference Center on Falls Road. Visitors are welcome.

Palestine UMC

Love Thy Neighbor group meets Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Love Thy Neighbor Meal and Fellowship at Matthew’s Place is Sept. 18 at noon.

Movies on the Green

Better Badin’s third movie night is planned for Sept. 18 with the 8 p.m. showing of “Clue,” a spinoff from the popular board game.

The event is free, but beverages and snacks will be available for purchase beginning at 7 p.m.

Badin Library

Adults are invited to come enjoy a fall craft with friends on Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. A fee of $2 will help with supplies.

September is Library Card Sign Up month. Adults and children may stop by the Badin branch Monday or Thursday from 3-7 p.m. or Tuesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to acquire a card.

Badin Baptist and Badin UMC

These two churches are collecting non-perishable food items to be included in weekend supplies for elementary school children.

Pop tarts, cereal packets, Vienna sausages, peanut butter crackers, and macaroni bowls are examples of items requested.

Other Badin churches are welcome to take part.

First Baptist

The community is invited to Sunday worship services at 11 a.m., 201 Wayne St. Masks are required and temperatures will be checked.

Morrow Mountain

Boat rentals are available only Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with rental ending at 4:30 p.m.

Everyone is encouraged to bring U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets if possible, or the concession has some equipment available for rent.
