Farmers Market
Remember to check out the vendors at Locust Farmers Market this summer. The market is open every Thursday through the end of summer.

Join on the corner of Main Street and Vella Drive for locally grown produce and handmade crafts.

The market will open at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

WSSC

The West Stanly Senior Center has a wide variety of activities every day. They have fitness programs, crafts, book club, pool, card and board games.

Friday Night is bingo night. it is open to everyone that likes to play. Doors open at 5 p.m., with early bingo at 6 p.m. and regular bingo at 7 p.m.

Homecoming

Locust Presbyterian Church will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday. Guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service will be Rev. Rick Hoffarth. There will be a covered dish lunch following Worship. The pastor and church members invite the community to join them for this special worship service.
LPC is at 607 W. Main St.

Movie Night

Oct. 8: Movie will be “Beauty & the Beast” (2017). Join in the pre-show activities, with the movie to follow at sunset. Mission Church will provide free dinner.

Locust Family Movie Nights are free, family-friendly events open to the public.

Movies are shown on a large inflatable screen in the back yard of Locust City Hall.

All movies start at sundown, so not all start times are the same.

Concert & Celebration

City of Locust will have its end of summer concert and celebration on Oct. 9 from 6-9 p.m.

Food and craft vendors will open at 6 p.m. and the first band of the evening will be The Executives.

Then at 7:30 p.m. there will be a performance by Chairmen of the Board. The evening will be closed out with a fireworks display

This family event will be in the backyard of City Hall so bring chairs or blanket to join in on the fun and entertainment.

Those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to help support local families in need. All donated items will be taken to West Stanly Christian Ministries to help meet the needs of local families.
