Fred T. Morgan, a promising young man of Albemarle, had joined the staff of The Stanly News & Press as a feature writer and reporter.

Mr. Morgan, who was reared in Albemarle, was well known to many residents of the county. He had contributed to the paper from time to time so he was not entirely new to the readers of the SNAP.

He was married to the former Isabelle Griffin of Albemarle.
