2021 has been a wonderfully busy year for your Stanly County Chamber of Commerce and the month of November looks to be the busiest month so far.

The North Carolina Department of Labor and the Chamber will host the Annual Safety Awards luncheon at 12 p.m. Nov. 8. The event will be held at the Snyder Community Room located in the Pfeiffer University Center for Health Sciences.

North Carolina Department of Labor Commissioner Josh Dobson will be the featured speaker. Safety awards are given to companies that have above-average worker safety and health programs.

A safety award shows employees and the community that a business is committed to a safe work environment. A good safety record is something to be proud of, and businesses deserve to be recognized for their efforts.

We invite the business community of Stanly County to come out and support our businesses that are being recognized for these accomplishments.

Tickets can be purchased on the Chamber website or by calling the office at 704-982-8116.

The SCCoC and the Albemarle Rotary Club will host a Reverse Raffle at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at Market Station in downtown Albemarle. Tickets are still available for purchase from the SCCoC office, volunteers and Albemarle Rotary Club members.

The $100 ticket gets you into a raffle with the top prize of $3,000, second prize of $1,000 and third prize of $500. The ticket allows two people into the event.

This will be an event you won’t want to miss. We will have great food, music, silent auction packages and games.

Contact the Chamber or an Albemarle Rotary Club member for more information and to purchase tickets.

We have a couple ribbon cuttings scheduled for the month, with plans for a few more. Make sure to follow the Chamber’s social media sites to find out about the upcoming ribbon cuttings and other events.

Clearer Minds Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, at 1446 E. Main St. in Albemarle, will host a ribbon cutting on Nov. 6 at 11:30 a.m.

The St. Germain Group-Exp Realty, located at 814 NC-24, Albemarle, will host a ribbon cutting celebration at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

Plan to join us for both of these events and show support to our Stanly County businesses.

Please contact the Chamber with any questions about our upcoming events at 704-982-8116 or sandy@stanlychamber.org.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve Stanly County.
