Gray Stone participates in Quiz Bowl competitions

The Gray Stone Day School Quiz Bowl team recently participated in the Fall Quiz Bowl League competition hosted by the North Carolina Association of Scholastic Activities. Questions are posed to students in categories such as arts and music, language and literature, math and science, religion and mythology, sports and recreation, history and geography, and North Carolina current events.

Two teams represented Gray Stone with The Garnet Team finishing second in the championship division and The Gray Team finishing second in the League 2 division. Both teams finished with a 7-3 record.

The combined team qualified for the North Carolina Twelve state championship held on Nov. 20 at NW Guilford High School where they finished seventh in the state. Team members Connor Conforti, June Barney and Tyler Tuzenuw qualified for the All-State team.
