The Albemarle Police Department has arrested and charged La Chong Cha Moua, 60, of Albemarle with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Moua’s arrest follows an investigation that began after APD received a tip from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Moua is scheduled to appear in Stanly County District Court on Jan. 3, 2022.
