Chris Hunnicutt, wildlife service manager at City Wide Exterminating in Locust has been re-elected as the general organizer for the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) board of directors.

Hunnicutt previously served in this role for the previous board term as well.

“Serving on the board for NWCOA is an honor,” Hunnicutt said. “Since joining the wildlife control industry many years ago, I have noticed a remarkable change in formal training and education opportunities available to wildlife operators.”

Hunnicutt and fellow incoming board members will be sworn in at the 2022 Wildlife Expo in February. Board members will serve a two-year term completing their service in January 2024.

The annual Wildlife Expo draws operators from across the country. Conference participants attend educational classes, networking events, and meetings surrounding industry updates and the latest research in wildlife control and repairs.

“These conferences are critical in learning from so many of our peers who face some of the same challenges,” Hunnicutt said. “We work in such a unique industry where rarely one job looks like the next.

“Forming these connections and attending these hands-on courses help to prepare wildlife control operators for the unexpected.”

The National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) is a national trade association representing the wildlife control industry. NWCOA is a non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to supporting businesses and providers of wildlife control services through ongoing training and education and promoting competence, service, and integrity within the wildlife damage management industry.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue to give back to an industry that has helped me so much in my career,” Hunnicutt said. “It’s a great time to be a part of NWCOA.”
