West Stanly women even conference mark with win

The West Stanly women’s basketball team evened its Rocky River Conference mark Thursday with a 65-34 home win over the Anson Bearcats.
Maryn Mauldin led three in double figures with 12 points. Ashlyn Hughes added 10 points while Ava Douglas scored 10 points in the fourth quarter for the Colts.
West (3-13, 2-2 RRC) limited Anson (4-11, 1-4) to single digits in points in the first three quarters, building leads of 15 and 16 points after the second and third quarters.
The Colts travel to Central Academy (1-13, 0-5) Tuesday night.
