The Stanly County Chamber of Commerce shared in our columns, on social media and in our newsletters about “Shop Local Season” during the holiday season. The Shop Local Season promotion was geared to remind everyone to continue to shop local after the Small Business Saturday in November.

We hope you did just that and purchased many, if not all of, your holiday items locally this year.  We encourage you to continue to shop local, to shop Stanly County Chamber of Commerce members. Think Local for Valentine’s Day, support your neighbors.

We encourage you to go to the Stanly County Chamber’s website at stanlychamber.org and under members, you can search our membership directory. We know you can find all the great traditional Valentine’s Day items like jewelry, sweets, balloons and great restaurants to dine in. We also encourage you to be creative and look around our membership and see what other businesses you can support this Valentine’s Day.

Continue supporting your neighbors as you plan to file your taxes this year. We have some great accountants that can help you with taxes and more, we have members that specialize in tax preparation and others who can help with financial planning. A listing of these professionals is included in our membership directory that can be searched online. Our members are also included in our print membership directory which can be picked up at the chamber office, the Stanly News & Press office and our members through the county.

These are just a few ideas of how you can support the Stanly County Chamber members. We have member businesses in all areas of business, nonprofits, education and more. Consider checking our membership before you make your buying decisions this year.

Follow the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce on our social media sites to keep up to date with the Chamber and the Chamber member activities. Visit our website regularly for events happening in the county.
