Albemarle Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of South Bell Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday.

A male juvenile who was struck by gunfire was transported to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The case remains under investigation.
