Albemarle Police has a subject of interest following a Sunday afternoon shooting of a weapon.

Around 2:35 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of South Bell Avenue.

No injuries were reported as no one was hit by the shots fired.

An early investigation indicated the shots fired were not a random act, with it appearing to be a domestic-related incident, according to a press release.

The case remains under investigation.
