The Stanly County Chamber has been working on plans for some of the favorite events and it is working on a new program to benefit our members.

The new program is “Leads at Lunch.”

Sandy Selvy-Mullis

Leads at Lunch is networking with a speaker, designed to be a small-group topic-based networking group that will focus on topics such as advertising, social media marketing, technology, small business, succession planning, etc.

These groups will meet on a monthly basis to network, brainstorm and bounce ideas and feedback off one another. All chamber members are invited to attend free of charge.

The chamber is partnering with the Stanly Community College Small Business Center to help find topics that will most benefit our businesses of Stanly County. Union Power Cooperative is the sponsor of this program for 2022.

We were happy with the great turnout of chamber members and potential members to our first SCCoC Business After Hours in 2022. We want to thank our March BAH sponsors Stanly Community College Crutchfield Education Center and Roll & Bowl for a wonderful evening full of networking and fun. We are pleased to share with you, many connections were made at this event.

Our next BAH will be April 21 at Second Street Sundries, 211 N. Second St., Albemarle. Our May 19 BAH host is the Biz Spa.

BAH events are a great chance to network with other professionals at these fun, interactive networking events.

Want to learn more about hosting? Contact the Chamber office. We have only a couple of spots available for 2022.

Other favorite programs to be held later in the year include: Stanly County Safety Awards Banquet Luncheon on June 15 at Snyder Community Room Pfeiffer University in Albemarle; the SCCoC Golf Classic on Aug. 17 at Piney Point Golf Club in Norwood; Albemarle Rotary Club & Stanly County Chamber of Commerce Reverse Raffle on Nov. 12.

Please follow our website and social media sites and read our monthly column to make sure you have the most updated information on our upcoming events.
