The National Piano Auditions, sponsored by the National Guild Of Piano Teachers, will be May 9-10. The auditions will be virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Debbie Watson, of Weatherford, Texas, will be the adjudicator for this event. Watson has served many years as an adjudicator for the Piano Guild. She has held positions on the staff of the Plano Symphony Orchestra, and church, school and community organizations.

Students of chairwoman Alma Rae Tucciarone, Joyce Harwood and Mienna Powell will perform and be evaluated on the musical and technical aspects of their performance.

Students of Tucciarone playing in the National Division: Bryson Barbee and Eden Kluttz; District Division: Luke Jacobi; Hobbyist: Sydney McRae and Reese Coble.

Powell students, National Division, are Elijah Powell and Preston Powell.

Harwood students, in the National Division, are Andrew Harwood, Evan Harwood, Amelia Holt, Spencer Lambert, Nate Ludeking, Polly Nantz, Seth Richards, Kaydence Roberson, Wesley Rodgers, Jair Sanchez, Melani Sanchez, Ben Williamson and Emily Williamson. District Division are Carys Conte, Ailanne Hernandez, Jayden Hernandez, Tyler Horton, Ada Morgan, Mayeri Sanchez and Rachel Stewart.
