The City of Albemarle is accepting nominations for the role of grand marshal of the Albemarle Christmas Parade happening Dec. 10.

Members of the community may nominate a deserving individual, organization or family by Nov. 7.

The rules for the nomination process are as follows:

• Nominee shall reside in the City of Albemarle;

• Nominee must be in good standing in the community;

• Nominee should be person, organization or family that has displayed outstanding service, support and commitment to the community, county, state and/or country.
