Albemarle set to host Autumn Extravaganza

The Autumn Extravaganza will be Oct. 27-29 in downtown Albemarle.

There will be a costume contest, trick-or-treating, a haunted house, hayrides, games, vendors, food trucks and live music.

From 5-7 p.m. Thursday, kids can rick or treat at downtown businesses.

There will also be a costume parade on Second Street and a costume contest at Courthouse Square.

Activities continue 4-7 p.m. Friday with a haunted house at the Stanly County Museum.

There will be food trucks throughout downtown from 6-8 p.m., as well as live music at Courthouse Square by Black Water Suns.

The activities wrap up on Saturday.

A street festival from noon to 4 p.m. on Second Street will feature hayrides, pumpkin decorating, vendors and food trucks.

Live music will be provided by Dustin Curlee, Jack Burns and The Carson Hill Band.
