Where can researchers find stories of enslaved peoples in North Carolina? The Digital Library on American Slavery and People Not Property project compile digitized archival materials to amplify these stories for students and historians and to assist African American genealogists. Project leader Richard Cox of UNC-Greensboro will discuss this work, including its origins, partners and goals of collecting and increasing access to these records from all North Carolina counties.
