In unofficial results from the Stanly County Board of Elections, Steve Huber has been elected to another term as mayor of Locust.

Huber received 96.55%, or 1,317 votes, compared to 47 write-ins.

For Locust City Council, elected were Mandy Watson (35.24%, 1,105 votes), Roger Hypes (31.76%, 996) and Barry Sims (31.09%, 975). There were 60 write-ins.
