Albemarle Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened around noon Saturday in the 800 block of Elizabeth Avenue.

A press release stated a 26-year-old male was shot in the leg and arm. The man was treated and released from the hospital.

The suspect was described as a light skin black male in his 20s wearing ski mask.

At this time, the man who was shot is not cooperating with investigators.
