Tarheel ChalleNGe Academy in New London will conduct its Class 5K Run/Walk-A-Thon at 522 N. Second St. in Albemarle at 8 a.m. Jan. 21.
Donations collected are used to pay for graduation related activities (Activity Day, Military Ball, graduation gifts).

Tarheel ChalleNGe is a National Guard Youth Challenge program that was created in 1993 to provide intervention and reclamation for 16- to 18-year-old high school at-risk youth and produce program graduates with the values, life skills, education and self-discipline necessary to succeed as productive citizens.
