On Friday Brooks Mill Farms announced it was closing its Locust store.

The business posted an announcement on its Facebook page.

“BUSINESS UPDATE: After 3 years of heart and soul dedicated to our store, we have seen, learned and gained so much wisdom on this side of the business journey,” the post began. “Despite all we have learned, one thing we have known to always be true, family comes first. With that said, we have decided to close our retail location and simplify solely focusing on our bee and honey operation. The last day of our retail operation will be 3/18. We genuinely want to say thank you for believing in us and appreciate the relationships established along the way.”

Brooks Mill Farms operated a store in Midland for two years before closing it in 2022. It opened the Locust location in July of last year.

The post concluded: “Stay tuned for details on where our future honey can be purchased. Don’t forget to like and follow our page so you can stay up to date for all our upcoming news. From our hive to yours, Clint and Kasey Brooks.”
