Parts of Morrow Mountain closed due to controlled burn

- Morrow Mountain State Park was formed in 1940.
A 740-acre prescribed burn is being conducted Monday in the Fall Mountain area of Morrow Mountain State Park, staff posted Sunday on the park’s Facebook page.
Several spots in the park, including the Fall Mountain hiking trail, the Birdie trails and Kron Road, will be closed until it is safe to reopen.
“Please be cautious of smoke in the area and drive carefully!” the post said.
