A Stanly County school bus collided with a car on Groves Avenue and East Main Street Friday afternoon.

Neither the driver of the bus, the approximately 20 children in Stanly County School Bus #27 from Albemarle Middle School or the driver of a green Chevy Sonic had any apparent injuries.

The two vehicles contacted each other just off Main Street as the bus was turning left onto Groves Avenue. There was no visible damage to either the bus or the car.

Albemarle Police Department officers and a Stanly County EMS ambulance responded to the call, along with officials from Stanly County Schools.
