The Richfield Town Council has unanimously approved a new advisory board to assist with deciding the future of parks and recreation for the town.

Richfield’s parks and recreation committee will have Dave Eddy, Jack Ingram, John Shaver, Amanda Cody and Zina Risley as members, with Town Commissioner Christy NeCaise as the council representative to the committee.

The town’s parks and recreation plans have come under recent discussion in town council meetings, including possible uses for Tyson Park and improvements to Richfield Park.

Town commissioners discussed finding a project to apply for a matching grant with the county of up to $10,000.
