Oakboro man arrested for going armed to the terror of the people

An Oakboro man has been arrested after going into a business with a rifle, according to Stanly County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop March 31 after receiving an initial call about an individual inside of a business armed with a rifle, wearing a black ski-mask and sunglasses.
Subsequent to the traffic stop, deputies arrested Tyrone Younger, 37, who was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and going armed to the terror of the people.
A search warrant was also conducted on Younger’s home at 210 Jada Lane in Oakboro. Investigators seized marijuana, paraphernalia and additional ammunition from the home.
Younger received additional charges for possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling place for the purpose of selling a controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Younger received a $110,000 secured bond and is in the custody of the Ralph McSwain Detention Center.
