The National Piano Auditions sponsored by The National Guild Of Piano Teachers, will be May 3-4 at Second Presbyterian Church in Albemarle.

Shandra Love will be the adjucator for these auditions. She has a master’s of music in piano pedagogy and performance from George Mason University, a BA in flute performance from UCLA, and a master’s of music in injury preventive keyboard technique from Salem College. She serves on The Board Of Judges for NGPT.

Piano teachers Alma Rae Tucciarone (chairperson), Joyce Harwood and Miena Powell will have students play in these auditions and will be evaluated on performance, repertoire and musicianship.

Students of Tucciarone are: National Division — Bryson Barbee, Luke Jacobi, Eden Kluttz; Hobbyist — Reese Coble, Jonathan Cotoni, Elijah Ingle, Sydney McRae, Uriah Ines.

Students of Powell are: National Division — Elijah Powell, Preston Powell.

Students of Harwood are: Paderewski Gold Medal — Spencer Lambert, Ben Williiamson; National — Andrew Harwood, Evan Harwood, Amelia Holt, Spencer Lambert, Nate Ludeking, Polly Nantz, Seth Richards, Wesley Rodgers, Jair Sanchez, Melani Sanchez, Ben Williamson; District — Collyns Almond, Carys Conte, Lily Harwood, Ada Morgan, Mayeri Sanchez; Hobbyist — Ailanne Hemandez, Rylee Shoaf.
