What do businesses need to consider regarding diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace?

A Stanly Community College equity coach will share info about the diversity, equity and inclusion work faculty and staff are doing on campus and how other organizations can add the skills.

Dr. Kara Finch is the dean of Public Services and Program Head of Human Services. She has been with SCC for seven years. She is an active member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Acceptance (IDEA) team at SCC, and an SCC equity coach. She is also the 2023 recipient of the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges Excellence in Teaching Award.

Lunch, opportunities for networking, brainstorming, idea sharing and gaining feedback from fellow business owners will be available at noon May 9 in the Dennis Community Room in the Patterson Building at Stanly Community College, 141 College Dr., Albemarle.
