Pfeiffer pitching was dominant as Kali Morton, Kenzi Lyall and Sadie Lee tossed a combined no-hitter against the visiting Brevard Tornados Saturday.
The Falcon offense was also clicking on all cylinders, scoring in every inning, including a seven-run outburst in the fourth inning that provided the 14-0 final.
Graduate student Alexis Walter was 3-of-3 from the plate with two RBI. Walter also scored three times for the Falcons in the win. Freshman Charly Cooper also was 2-of-3 from the plate with three runs scored. Kenzi Lyall and Alyssa Broaddus also drove in two runs each for the Falcons in the win.
Morton fanned five Tornados while Lyall struck out three.
In game two, Morton tossed the complete game, allowing just two hits while striking out 14, her best output of the season. On the day, Morton struck out 19 batters.
Sophomore Gracie Griffin hit her fourth home run of the season, a two-run blast in the fifth inning to put the Falcons up 4-0. A sacrifice fly from Abbie Yarboro, also in the fifth, provided the final run in the 5-0 win.
