Stanly Community College will host Picnic in the Park for alumni 5-7 p.m. June 15 at Morrow Mountain State Park Community Building.

The picnic gives alumni the chance to connect and discover opportunities to become involved with their alma mater.

Now in its 51st year, SCC continues to provide higher education and career training to the residents of Stanly County and beyond.

At next week’s graduation ceremonies, the college will confer nearly 800 degrees, diplomas and certificates.

“Our students are at the center of all we do at Stanly Community College. As alumni, they become part of our family for a lifetime and we hope they will remain involved with the college long after they have graduated,” SCC Foundation Executive Director Jeania Martin said.

The event is free to attend, and individuals are encouraged to register by emailing sccalumni@stanly.edu.
