Albemarle Police made an arrest Tuesday afternoon following an alleged road rage incident.
Police said it was reported Devaunte Daiquon Collins had brandished a firearm toward another individual. Collins already had two active warrants from Rowan County for speeding and driving while license revoked. Police determined Collins was a convicted felon and could not possess a firearm.
Probable cause was granted for a search warrant and arrest warrant for Collins at his address of 448 E. Oakwood Ave. During execution of the search warrant the firearm was seized and Collins was arrested.
Collins was taken to Stanly County Jail and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and received a $250,000 bond due to him being out on bond for a conspiracy to commit murder charge from 2020.
