The Stanly Arts Guild will have its Summer Art Explosion art exhibition and competition July 12 to Aug. 5 at 330 N. 2nd St., Albemarle.

Painters, sculptors, wood carvers, jewelers, potters, quilters and more artisans will display their works.

Prizes will be awarded in 2D and 3D categories, with $300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for first place. A members’ choice award will also be presented for $100.

Art take-in will be July 7-8.
