Cooper’s piano, organ students present recital

Piano and organ students of Anne F. Cooper presented their spring recital May 21 at Central United Methodist Church in Albemarle.
Cooper opened the recital with a convocation.
Each student performed various selections. Duets were performed by Rhyan Russell, Annabelle Johnson, Rex Crump, Kate Foutz and Jordan Korzelius.
Crump performed “Alouette” on the Schantz pipe organ.
Korzelius was guest performer, and is pursuing a music degree at Appalachian State University. He also performed “Organ Sonata-Opus 65, No. 2” by Felix Mendelssohn on the organ.
The recital concluded with “God of Our Fathers” duet arranged by James Pethel.
