Children are invited to meet a pediatric dentist and learn about dental health. Another program will focus on rescue dogs. Painting rocks will be a creative diversion at one of the sessions.

Adults who read or listen to four books before Aug. 1 can earn prizes along with the younger set. Fill out a form at the Badin Library to participate.

Miles for Museums

Badin Historic Museum is partnering this summer with nine area museums to share the stories of the people and events of earlier times.

Begin your adventure by picking up a list of participating museums and a passport at Badin Museum. Get your passport stamped before Labor Day at every museum you visit to be eligible for prizes.

Badin Museum is staffed by volunteers 9 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Tuesday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday.

Happy July 4th to everyone.
