Farmers Market

The farmers market will be open 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The market sells local fruits and vegetables and crafts. Some vendors also have jewelry, flowers, plants, honey, meat and eggs.

Cruise In

Locust Town Center Cruise-In will be July 21. This event occurs every third Friday from 6-9 p.m. (weather permitting) at the Locust Town Center, 161 Ray Kennedy Dr.

Come on out enjoy looking at the cars while seeing old friends and making new ones.

Bethel Baptist Church

Keepers of the Kingdom is the theme for vacation Bible school at Bethel Baptist Church July 17-21 from 6:30-8:45 p.m. This for ages 3-12.

Bethel Baptist is at 617 Bethel Church Road, Locust.

Vacation Bible School

Frist Baptist Church of Stanfield will have VBS July 23-27 from 6-9 p.m. for ages 3-13. The VBS theme is “Journey to Bethlehem Glory to God in the highest.”

There will be a meal served nightly.

The church is on N.C. Highway 200 in Stanfield.

Fall Sports

Registration is now open for Locust Parks and Recreation for fall soccer and baseball.

Last day of registration is July 31.

Locust Presbyterian

Are you tired of eating lunch alone, love free food, work from home or in Locust? You are invited to the monthly “Come Have Lunch” on July 19. This is open to the community. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., followed by a monthly themed game and fellowship.

Locust Presbyterian is at 607 W. Main St.

There will be a blood drive at Locust Presbyterian 2-6 p.m. July 26.
