Canes Finest 12u travel baseball team of Charlotte brought home the national Cooperstown Dreams park championship for week 4 June 15-21. Canes won 5-4 against No. 1 seeded Test Black of Austin, Texas.

Kameron Stoney, a member of the team, resides in Badin and attends North Stanly Middle and is on the NSMS baseball team.

Stoney pitched the Elite 8 Game with 1 ERA, 2 hits and 9 strikeouts. He batted an average of 0.452 with 5 HR and 19 RBI across 11 games for the week.
