Albemarle Police Department and the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting on Long Lake.

At 11:43 a.m. Saturday, Albemarle Police was called to investigate after a female in a watercraft on Long Lake in the area of Concord Road was stuck by a gunshot. She was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Albemarle Police Department and Stanly County Sheriff’s Office are currently following leads as they search for a suspect.
