Farmers Market
The farmers market will be open on Tuesday 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market sells local fruits and vegetables and crafts. Some vendors also have jewelry, flowers, plants, honey, meat and eggs.
Locust Presbyterian
Don’t forget to stop in at Locust Presbyterian on July 26 from 2-6 p.m. and donate blood during their blood drive. Locust Presbyterian is at 607 W. Main St.
Church Anniversary
The Love’s Chapel United Methodist Church family will celebrate its 175th Anniversary during the Aug. 6 homecoming worship service and fellowship meal. The guest speaker for the worship service will be former pastor Rev. Richard Blount. The fellowship meal will follow immediately after worship. After the meal, around 3 p.m., the church will have an open house for individuals to tour the church, the historic sanctuary and documentation of the life and times of this church will be viewed in the Pearl Mann room.
Opportunities are available to help support the ministry of Love’s Chapel UMC. Also, information will be available concerning the three cemeteries as people are able to walk the grounds to locate past family members and friends who were in these cemeteries.
The church is at 808 S. Love’s Chapel Road, Stanfield.

Lighthouse Weekend
Indian Hill Church will host “The Lighthouse Weekend” July 29-30. Starting with July 29 there will be hamburgers, hot dogs, bounce houses, games and a youth sleepover.
Then on July 30 starts off with a fellowship breakfast followed by Sunday school at 10 a.m. and church services at 11 a.m.
There will be a Fifth Sunday singing at 5:30 followed by a pot luck supper.
Indian Hill Church is at 8349 NC Highway 200, Stanfield.
Fall Sports
Registration is now open for Locust Parks and Recreation for fall soccer and baseball.
Last day of registration is July 31.

Registration is now open for fall tennis at Locust City Park. There will be classed for junior and adults, from beginner through intermediate.

Summer Soccer Camp
