Health
Walk-in healthcare appointments are available tomorrow and every Wednesday at the Atrium Care Everywhere Mobile unit from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. across from the Isiah Westbrook Community Center, 507 Roosevelt St.
Patients from 2 years old and up may receive care for minor injuries, diagnosis of illness or wellness services. The staff is available to answer questions about services, give courtesy blood pressure checks and evaluate financial assistance qualification.
Badin Elementary
All students are on campus as of Aug. 14. Welcome back all teachers, staff and student families.
Stony Hill UMC
Everyone is invited to a Hymn Sing service Aug. 20 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a hot dog lunch.
Badin Library
Children’s Storytime and Craft activities are Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m.
Sunshine Club
The monthly fellowship gathering is Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the Badin Baptist Church fellowship hall, 28 Falls Road. All adults are invited to the program and covered dish lunch following.
Bread Giveaway
Free bread and rolls can be picked up Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at Badin VFD firehouse on Lou Donaldson Boulevard. Everyone is welcome as long as supplies last.
Palestine UMC
The Handbell Choir resumes regular practices at 6 p.m. and Choir at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The congregation will hold a Church Conference Sept. 5 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Palestine UMC’s disaffiliation from The United Methodist Church.
West Badin Homecoming
Badin4Life Foundation is sponsoring the 2nd Annual West Badin Homecoming Festival Sept. 16 from noon to 8 p.m. on Roosevelt Street.
Enjoy an array of food trucks, music, games and vendors during this family-friendly event.
Support
The Lupus Support Group of Stanly County will meet for the second time this year on Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. at Badin Coffee, 42 Falls Road.
The founder, S’era McCall, invites other “lupus warriors” to this encouraging and informative discussion.
