First Baptist Church Midland, 4720 Garmon Mill Road, Midland, recently welcomed its new pastor, Rev. Randy Lankford.

He received his doctorate from Macedonia Bible College in Midland. He served 16 years at Connect Church in Charlotte, formerly Sharon Forest Baptist Church.

He has been married to his wife Connie for 45 years. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Homecoming will be Aug. 27, with a meal following the service. Sunday school is at 10 a.m., with worship at 11.
