Events of Interest
There’s still time to get your tickets for the first live recording of Mitchell Johnson & Rehoboth at 4 p.m. Sept. 7. The recording will be at Wayfield Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 400 W. Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte. Doors open at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25.
B4L Foundation presents the West Badin Festival from noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 16. There will be vendors, music, fun activities, etc. Don’t miss out.
Congratulations to Louis Cato on the release of his new album, Reflections. Cato will be performing in several cities in the future.
Church News
New Direction Life Ministries has two events you don’t want to miss. Wednesday Night Jamboree will be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23 and 30. This is open to pre-k through high school.
The Back to School Jump Off will be Aug. 24-27.
On Aug. 24, at 7 p.m., Minister Marquez Cassidy will be the speaker.
Aug. 25, at 7, the speaker will be Minister Chae Cole.
Aug. 26 will be Fun Day. Evangelist Shanna Medley will be the 11 a.m. speaker. The hosts are Pastors Michael and Anita Scott.
The Room is readying for two upcoming events.
On Aug. 25, at 7:30 p.m., it’s “Ladies Edition (from a man’s perspective).” There will be a surprise guest speaker. Pastor Tamara Horne is the host.
On Aug. 27, at 3 p.m., Youth Fellowship will take place. The guest speaker will be Minister Chae Cole of Charlotte. Pastors Carlos and Tamara Horne are the hosts.
Parker’s Grove Baptist Church, New London, will hold revival Aug. 27 at 2:30 p.m. The speaker will be Bishop Tavaris Johnson, of Mt. Zion, Badin. The host pastor is Rev. Althea Harris.
Call to Pray meets the first and third Saturdays each month at Shiloh Baptist Church. The time is 6:30. Minister Argene Peoples is the facilitator.
