Pfeiffer Women’s Golf opens season at Shenandoah Invitational

Pfeiffer freshman Kirstyn Page (King, N.C.), playing in her first collegiate tournament, was the top finisher for the Falcons. Page carded a five-over par 77 in round one and closed the tournament with an 80 in round two, finishing at 13-over par and in fifth place overall in the 36-hole event at the 5,510 yard, par 72, Capacon State Park course.
Fellow freshmen Allie Witherspoon (Morganton, N.C.) and Ella Couper (Harrisburg, N.C.) also had stellar outings in their first collegiate event, with Witherspoon finishing with a 164 (+20) and Coupler shooting a 165 (+21), good for a tie for 10th place and a tie for 12th place, respectively.
Sophomores Ashlyn Strickland (Greensboro, N.C.) (15th), Ruth Anne Asbill (Lewisville, N.C.) (tie for 17th) and Jordan Blake (Mt. Pleasant, N.C.) (tie for 22nd) rounded out the finish for the Falcons.
