Pfeiffer Men’s Golf opens season at Kinder-Williams Invitational

Harrisonburg, Va. (Sept. 13, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University men’s golf team opened the 2023-24 season by finishing in a tie for ninth place at the Kinder-Williams Invitational hosted by Bridgewater College.
Senior Quin Foster (Lexington, N.C.) and freshman Connor Key (Pilot Mountain, N.C.) were the top Falcons on the two day event, held at the par 72, 6,769-yard Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg, Va.
Foster and Key shot identical scores of 75 in both rounds to finish at a six-over par 150 and in a tie for 23rd place overall. Sophomore Lapo D’amato (Rimini, Italy) managed a 151 to finish at seven-over par and in a 29th place tie.
As a team, Pfeiffer completed the event in a ninth-place tie with Bridgewater and Shenandoah’s “B” teams, carding a 614 (+38).
Pfeiffer will return to play on Oct. 2-3 when they take part in the prestigious O’Briant-Jensen Memorial at The Cardinal Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
