Board of Elections accepts ‘I Voted’ contest entries

The Stanly County Board of Elections is accepting entries from fifth grade classes for its “I Voted” sticker contest until Sept. 29.
At its Oct. 3 meeting, the Board of Elections will choose five entries to be voted on through Nov. 7.
Early voting will be Oct. 19 through Nov. 3 via Facebook likes. Election Day in-person voting will be Nov. 7 in the Partnership meeting room at the Stanly Commons during the Board of Elections Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The winner will be announced at 4 p.m. at the Board of Elections meeting. The winner’s design will be used during the 2024 primaries and general election.
