Authentic Unlimited, a bluegrass and gospel band based out of east Tennessee, will perform at the James Garner Center in Troy on Sept. 30.

Though this band only formed in 2022, they are no strangers to the bluegrass genre. Nominated for both IBMA’s 2023 New Artist of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year, following Doyle Lawson’s retirement three members of his band, Eli Johnston, Stephen Burwell and Jerry Cole, decided continue in a new configuration. They are joined by John Meador and Jesse Brock.

“I’m looking forward to having Authentic Unlimited in Troy. When a group is endorsed by Doyle Lawson, you know they are an amazing band. These guys were a hit at the Big Lick Bluegrass Festival and word about them coming to Troy has circulated and has generated a big buzz. These guys are not only wonderful musicians, but very close friends of mine and I look forward to hosting them again,” shared promoter Jeff Branch of Oakboro.

The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for reserved seating, $25 for general admission, and $10 kids 6-12.

For tickets or more information, contact Jeff Branch at 704-985-6987 or jbranch205@gmail.com.

The James Garner Center is at 210 Burnette Street in Troy.
