Farmers Market

The farmers market will be open on Tuesday 4:30-7:30 p.m. and on Thursday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The market sells local fruits and vegetables and crafts. Some vendors also have jewelry, flowers, plants, honey, meat and eggs.

Kids Night Out

City of Locust Parks and Recreation invites ages 5-14 to join for a night of fun. City of Locust will provide pizza and drinks. Depending on the weather, there may also be a trip to the playground at Jeff Shelton Memorial Park, beside the Locust Community Building. Send a water bottle and have kids wear shoes that are appropriate for outdoor play. You may also send a towel or blanket for your child to sit on for the movie.

The cost is $15 for the first child and $10 for each additional child, with an additional $5 non-resident fee per child for those living outside of Locust city limits.

Event is 6-10 p.m. Sept. 29.

Kids are to be picked up promptly by 10 p.m. There will be an additional charge of $5 per 5 minutes after 10 p.m.

Family Movie Night

Movie Night will be 6 p.m. Sept. 30 with “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.”

Bring a chair or blanket.

Basketball

Registration is open for Locust Parks and Recreation basketball. Last day of registration is Oct. 31.
