Stanly County Sheriff’s Office and Locust Police Department made an arrest last week where more than 100,000 illegal pills were seized.

According to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Locust Police conducted a traffic stop in Locust following a lengthy joint investigation by the two agencies.

During the stop a large number of schedule II and schedule IV controlled substances were seized from the vehicle.

Investigators then conducted a search warrant on a residence in the county where more than 100,000 pills, which were also determined to be schedule II and schedule IV controlled substances, were seized.

Cody Glenn Troutman was arrested and charged with the trafficking, opium or heroin possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule II and IV, maintaining vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
