Locust Fall Festival

This is a very popular event and will be from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween. It is organized by a committee made up of representatives from local churches and works with Locust Parks and Recreation.

There will be lots of activities for the kids to enjoy. Bring the family and friends.

Parking is limited.

Fall Festival

First Baptist Church of Stanfield will have a Fall Festival 4-8 p.m. Nov. 4. There will be games, activities, hot dogs, s’mores, hot chocolate, cake walk, hayrides and prizes.

The church is at 200 N.C. Highway 200, Stanfield.

Arts and Crafts

Mark you calendar now for the Stanfield Arts and Craft Show on Nov 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 12 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Stanfield Elementary School, 101 Montgomery Ave., Stanfield.

There will be more than 120 local vendors with homemade Christmas gifts, Christmas decorations, vintage items, jewelry and more. such as food trucks, a sweet shop and raffle baskets.

Food Drive

West Stanly Christian Ministries will have its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Nov. 18 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Log Barn at 101 West Stanly St., Stanfield.

They will accept non-perishable food items and monetary donations. Just pull up at the Barn and someone will assist in taking your donations.

The ministry will distribute these donations to local families in need. You can contact Nick Hathcock at 704-201-7512 for more information and questions.

Christmas Parade

The Locust Christmas Parade will be on Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. If your business or organization is interested in participating, complete a form at https://forms.gle/awUFtDLkuF7bipzJ7 .
