4-vehicle accident closes Albemarle streets

Albemarle Police officers are investigating a collision at U.S. Highway 52 N. and West Main Street involving four vehicles Thursday afternoon.
Six patients were transported to the hospital, according to an Albemarle spokesperson. There are no reports of any life-threatening injuries.
NCDOT was contacted to clean up a fuel spill in the roadway.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
